Put AI underneath everything
Not isolated AI features inside individual tools. A shared intelligence layer beneath a 30-product portfolio at Compass, and an AI system running demand and booking for a $120M business at Travelpass.
Hello. My name is
Chief Product Officer with twenty years building and scaling SaaS across real estate, travel, and consumer marketplaces. I work on the platform and the operating model underneath a product portfolio, not on individual features. Currently VP of Product at Compass, where I built the AI infrastructure layer beneath a 30-product portfolio serving 50,000+ agents. Previously scaled Place from $3M to $80M+ ARR. Targeting my next CPO seat at a growth-stage company.
// About
I started as a designer. At NuSkin in the early 2000s, I led the team that built the company's first online ordering and payment system. In 2008 I co-founded Blueroof360, a real estate software company I ran for nine years before selling it to Brivity. I stayed through that acquisition and the one that followed, when Place acquired Brivity, and each time I was the one merging separate products into a single platform. Since then: founding CPO at Place through hypergrowth, CPO at Travelpass, and now VP of Product at Compass, in a role that originated at Anywhere Real Estate and carried through the acquisition.
The pattern across all of it: I inherit fragmented product surfaces assembled through acquisition, decide what survives, and build the platform and operating cadence underneath so a large product organization can scale without fragmenting again. AI is the biggest shift in software since the smartphone, and I've shipped it in two industries as infrastructure, not as a feature: a horizontal intelligence layer beneath an enterprise portfolio, and the engine running a $120M consumer booking business.
I live in Lehi, Utah with my wife Heather and our four children. Most of my non-work hours are spent traveling, usually in pursuit of a restaurant, and working on home projects.
// What I do
Not isolated AI features inside individual tools. A shared intelligence layer beneath a 30-product portfolio at Compass, and an AI system running demand and booking for a $120M business at Travelpass.
Three separate times: three acquired companies at Place, two merged stacks at Brivity, decades of tools across six brands at Compass. Decide what survives, then build one platform.
$3M to $80M+ ARR at Place as headcount went 150 to 600. The operating cadence that lets 30 PMs reach consistent decisions without escalation.
Started as a designer. Have run all three functions as a single organization, and bring design fluency to roadmap and platform decisions. Co-founded and sold a company; supported a $100M Goldman Sachs round.
At Compass, my team launched the Compass Intelligence Platform and Ava: one AI infrastructure layer underneath every product in the portfolio, rather than isolated AI features inside individual tools. Agent Workplace, the company's first agent-facing CRM, went from concept to MVP in six months on top of it. The hard problem wasn't the model. It was shipping AI inside an enterprise without compromising security, brand, or agent trust.
// Selected work

I'm targeting a growth-stage company with product-market fit established and the scaling and AI work still ahead. If you're consolidating what acquisition left behind, or putting AI underneath the whole portfolio instead of inside one tool, let's talk.
